India lost ₹22,845 crore to cyber fraud in 2024.

That's three times 2023, as reported to Parliament by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Most of it went to fake investment schemes that look a lot like the reels and podcasts people share every day.

The Myra intelligence engine

Not one model answering. A pipeline that keeps receipts.

Every check runs through the same stages. The language model reasons over structured evidence it was handed, never from memory, and each verdict stays linked to the material behind it.

InputLink

InputScreenshot

SMS, WhatsApp, email, QR, notices

InputVideo / audio

A reel or clip shared from WhatsApp, Instagram or your gallery

InputText

A claim you heard, typed in

Stage 1Extraction

OCR, speech-to-text, frame sampling, link unwrapping in an isolated sandbox.

Stage 2Claim engine

Splits text into checkable claims, opinions and predictions. Names people, dates, amounts.

Stage 3Evidence search

Official records, regulators, independent reporting, fact-check feeds, domain and URL intelligence.

Stage 4Risk rules

Deterministic checks: scam patterns, assured returns, medicine-stopping advice, urgency language.

Stage 5Evidence-based reasoning & verification

The model is given the claim ledger, retrieved sources and rule hits, and must cite them. Cross-checks catch contradictions. Allowed answers include "Unable to verify".

How it feels

Five steps, whatever you share.

You share

URL, screenshot, video, audio, text or QR.

Understand

Words, claims, people, dates and intent.

Classify

Finance, health, news, fraud, tax or general advice.

Investigate

Primary records, official sources, independent reporting.

Explain & act

The verdict, why, and safe next steps.

Honest about access. Instagram and Facebook don't let anyone play their videos from a link, so Myra doesn't pretend to. Share or upload the reel itself and Myra checks every spoken word. A caption is never passed off as checking the video.

    Questions

What Myra can and can't see.

Can Myra check an Instagram or Facebook reel from its link?

No. Those apps don't let any outside service play their videos, so a link alone can't be checked properly, and Myra won't guess from the caption. Share the reel to Myra from WhatsApp or your gallery, or download or screen-record it and upload it, and Myra checks every word it says. YouTube links work directly.

Does Myra listen to my phone calls?

No. Most phones don't let apps capture ordinary call audio. Myra offers a scam checklist you can open during or after a call, and can review a recording you're legally allowed to upload.

Will Myra tell me what to believe?

No. It separates facts from opinions, shows what each source establishes, and says plainly when something can't be verified. The decision stays with you.

Can I see my parents' checks on a family circle?

Only if they choose to share an alert with you. Family members' private checks never become visible to the account owner automatically.

What if I've already lost money?

Call the national cyber fraud helpline 1930 immediately and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. Myra's report gives you the evidence in one place to share.

The internet tells you what to think. Myra helps you understand what to trust.
