Compliance & your data

What Myra Predict follows, in plain words.

Myra Predict is a free opinion-forecasting service by MyraNest Private Limited. People answer questions about future events and see what the crowd thinks. No money is involved at any point. It is designed in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025, the IT Act and its Intermediary Rules, and the online gaming law. Last updated 4 November 2026.

Your personal data

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 (notified 13 November 2025) protect your personal data. Their main duties for businesses come into force in stages, with the core obligations applying from 13 May 2027. We already follow the practices below. For Myra Predict, MyraNest Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary — the organisation that decides how your data is used.

What we keep

  • Account: your name and email from your MyraNest Google sign-in.
  • Your predictions: each answer, the % you set (if any), when you made or changed it, and that history — needed to calculate your accuracy.
  • Follows and scores on questions.
  • Questions you create: the final wording and what you originally typed (seen only by Myra editors), plus the editor's note if not approved.
  • Age confirmation: only the time you confirmed you are 18 or older — never your date of birth.
  • Rate-limit entries (to stop abuse), deleted automatically after 2 days.

What we don't do

  • We don't collect your phone number, location, contacts or payment details for Myra Predict.
  • We don't sell or rent your data, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.
  • Your email address is never shown publicly. Other people never see your individual vote — only the combined crowd percentage.
  • Nothing about you is shared on social media unless you tap Share yourself, and share cards carry no name or account.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and record your predictions and follows.
  • To calculate the crowd view and your accuracy score.
  • To review questions you submit before they go live.
  • To keep the service safe (rate limits, the 18+ check) and to meet legal duties.

You give consent when you sign in and take part; you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your data (below). We keep your Myra Predict data for as long as you use the service, or until you delete it.

Where it's stored & who processes it

  • Stored securely on servers in India.
  • Questions you type in Create, and question text when checking results, are processed by our AI service to suggest clearer wording and results. Don't include personal details in a question.
  • Access is limited to Myra Predict editors for review and resolution.

Your rights — and how to use them

See your dataEverything is in My Predictions, and you can download it all as a file there (Your data → Download).
Correct itChange or withdraw any vote while voting is open; edit questions before you submit them.
Erase it / withdraw consentMy Predictions → Your data → Delete my Predict data removes your votes, history, follows, scores and age confirmation, and the crowd numbers adjust. Questions you created are deleted, or — if others already voted on them — kept without any link to you.
Nominate someoneYou can name a person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to; email the Grievance Officer.
ComplainContact the Grievance Officer below. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, as the IT Rules require (content complaints that need faster action are handled within 72 hours). Requests about your personal data are answered within 90 days at the latest, as the DPDP Rules require. If you're not satisfied, you can appeal to the Government's Grievance Appellate Committee, or approach the Data Protection Board of India for data matters.

Children

Myra Predict is for people aged 18 and over. Everyone confirms this once before voting or creating a question. We don't knowingly process children's data; if you believe a child is using it, tell the Grievance Officer and we'll delete that data.

Security & breaches

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to signed-in owners and named editors, and changes are logged. If a personal-data breach happens, we will inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your MyraNest account itself (used across MyraNest) is separate; to close it, email hello@myranest.com.

No money, no stakes, no prizes

Under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 and its Rules, 2026, games played for money or anything of value are banned. Myra Predict involves no deposits, fees, bets, tokens, coins, prizes or rewards of any kind. Accuracy scores are information only and can't be exchanged for anything. Myra Predict does not claim any registration or approval from the Online Gaming Authority of India.

IT Act, intermediary rules and takedowns

  • We publish a Grievance Officer (below) and act on complaints.
  • We act on lawful takedown directions from courts and the government within the time the IT Rules require (currently 3 hours): an editor can unpublish any question everywhere at once.
  • Questions written by members and refined by AI are labelled “Refined by Myra AI”. Myra's result suggestions are checked by an editor before anything is final.
  • Records of moderation, resolution and takedown decisions are kept with each question.

Cyber security (CERT-In)

  • We follow the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team's directions: cyber-security incidents are reported to CERT-In within 6 hours of being noticed.
  • System logs are kept for 180 days, stored in India.
  • Point of contact for CERT-In: Umesh Aggarwal, umesh.aggarwal@myranest.com.

Not financial advice

Crowd percentages show what participants think. They are not facts, odds, research or investment recommendations. To stay clear of unregistered investment advice under SEBI rules, Myra Predict does not accept questions about the price or level of shares, stock-market indices, cryptocurrencies, mutual-fund NAVs or IPO listing gains. Questions about official events — such as an RBI policy decision or a regulator's approval — are allowed and carry this notice.

Elections

Questions about elections are allowed outside restricted periods. We follow the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and directions of the Election Commission of India and the courts — including the silence period before polling (Section 126) and the exit-poll period (Section 126A) — and will close voting or unpublish questions and crowd results when required. We never ask how anyone voted.

Content rules

  • Every member-written question is checked automatically and then reviewed by a Myra editor before it goes live.
  • Not allowed: sexual content or nudity, code or links in questions, questions about private individuals, and financial price predictions.
  • Each question names the official source that decides it, and the rule is fixed before voting opens.
